Saara Hafeez

Saara Hafeez is dedicated to the economic empowerment of disenfranchised people. She has built her career at the intersection of social impact and technology.

She currently works in Business Operations at Shopify, a tech platform for entrepreneurs. Before Shopify, she launched ALTRD, a social enterprise focused on empowering immigrant and refugee women, and the Tijuana site of International Sanctuary, a social enterprise focused on helping trafficking survivors rebuild their lives. 

Saara also serves on the board of the Zakat Fund of NYC, an organization that supports non-profits focused on providing critical aid, and the board of Emma’s Torch, a non-profit social enterprise focused on empowering refugees through culinary education.
