The last couple of Ramadans have felt especially isolating for so many of us as we observed this blessed month while abiding to stay-at-home orders. We’re excited to share that after two long years of not being able to safely connect with each other face-to-face, we’re hosting our first ever in-person iftar in DC.
Where: George Washington University (exact address will be shared upon registration)
When: Tuesday, April 26th from 7-9p EST.
Are you a Muslim in college looking for a Muslim community beyond just your university? Are you a Muslim in the DMV missing your community? Are you a Muslim professional looking to meet young college-aged Muslims? Are you a college-aged Muslim looking to meet working Muslim professionals? Look no further!
Whether this time of year makes you feel a heightened sense of spiritual connection and clarity, or you struggle to feel connected you are invited to join HEART, Howard University Muslim Student Association (MSA), American University Muslim Student Association (MSA), and George Washington University Muslim Student Association (MSA) for an inter-generational, inter-MSA iftar!
The first of this kind, this Iftar hopes to build community across the DMV. Come through for a night of food, community-building, photos, and more. Learn more about HEART’s work, hear from some incredible speakers, participate in healing activities, raffle, and more. Space is limited so register for a ticket* and stay tuned for all the exciting updates to come.
*We are committed to making this an accessible space. If the ticket price is a barrier to attending, please reach out to Aisha at aisha@heartwomenandgirls.org for more information.
Please note that, out of an abundance of caution and respect for different health needs, masks (when we aren’t eating) and proof of vaccination are required.
