Systems
At a systemic level, we understand the fight for reproductive justice must be rooted in an intersectional, anti-imperialism, abolitionist lens grounded inand global solidarity. HEART takes inspiration from the Islamic concept of fard kifayah, or communal obligation, to take care of each other. We advocate for divesting funds from war, militarism, genocide and policing and investing resources back into communities of care so that we may achieve reproductive justice for all.
Global Solidarity

Palestine x Reproductive Justice (RJ) – Repro for Justice in Palestine Coalition

The coalition continues to build with each other and implement the outlined actions in the CTA to hold the line within our movement space.

HEART released a research report into the use of gender based violence in Sudan GBV report. HEART created a resource summarizing the Human Rights Watch Report on Gender Based Violence in Sudan which can be found here.
Community Care & Infrastructure
At HEART, we view collective care as a whole package: in order for someone to fully be in their agency and practice self determination – they must have access to the full range of choices available to them, as well as the information, systems, and resources that support these choices. It is not enough to just have cash, if there aren’t enough trauma informed trained professionals. It’s not enough to have information, if its not accessible in the language that they need. It’s not enough to have access to social services if they don’t have the non judgemental support from their community. It’s not enough to want justice, when the laws that should provide that don’t see or center survivors. At HEART, we are working to ensure that people have access to community care and the infrastructure that supports that care.
