Our Approach
As our largest programming arm, we provide comprehensive, culturally-sensitive, and faith-inspired sexual health and violence education through interactive in-person, virtual, and social media platforms. Our programs create safe, inclusive spaces for Muslims to learn about their bodies, share health information, and support each other in building healthier, more empowered communities. Key principles of our programming include inclusivity, offering a space free of judgment or blame, and being trauma-informed by centering victims and respecting individual experiences.
New Workshop Series: Sex Talk Book
Our offerings now include specialized Sex Talk Book workshops for Muslim youth aged 18-24. These workshops create platforms for open, informed, and faith-conscious discussions about sexual health, designed to foster engagement and education in ways that resonate and designed for Muslim youth, educators, and community leaders. Topics include:
- Foundations of Sex Education: Cover anatomy, reproductive health, and STI’s
- Decision-Making & Consent: Navigate consent and sexual decision-making
- Maintaining Sexual Health: Explore preventative care and well-being
Social Media Engagement
We also leverage social media to extend access to reliable, culturally-relevant health education, fostering digital engagement that meets youth where they are. This allows us to reach more community members and facilitate meaningful, informed conversations on sexual health.
Virtual Resource Center
Check out our Virtual Resource Library that hosts our various publications, toolkits, one pagers and videos for you to learn more about topics related to sexual and reproductive health and violence.
External Resources
We’ve also gathered our favorite resources from our movement family: those who came before us to lay the groundwork for what we do, and those we are working alongside.
