Shirley was formerly a Strategic Inclusion Manager at McKinsey & Company, were she leads inclusion efforts in North America for McKinsey Women and for Asian/Asian-Americans. She has consulted clients on diversity and inclusion strategy, as well as broader cultural transformations.
Shirley was on the working team of the McKinsey Global Institute’s report, The power of Parity: How advancing women’s equality can add $12 trillion to global growth.Shirley has worked across North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East in the public, private, and social sectors. She served as Director of Growth Strategy and Director of Asia Pacific at AIESEC International — a global nonprofit, advised the governments of Jordan and Abu Dhabi on competitiveness strategy, and has provided strategic guidance to a range of nonprofits, i.e. Ashoka, Acumen Fund, Kiva,Aravind.
Shirley earned her B.A. in Economics and Sociology, Master of Public Policy, and MBA from the University of Michigan.
